Peak District Weather.
As most of the Peak District is situated 300 metres above sea level, as well as the park covering the West of the country, the Peak District is prone to rain. The Peak District receives significantly more rainfall than the rest of the country, receiving around 40 inches on average. Snowfall is often a common occurrence as well during the winter months due to the areas elevated height and high rainfall. Snowfall has however decreased significantly over recent years with the Peak District enjoying the same average temperature as the rest of the UK.
